5. Specific course information

This course will:
• Train students professional skills for engineers as following:
- Teamwork skills
- Presentation skills.
- Skills to learn new approaches to the topic.
• Introduce students to the knowledge of:
- Professional ethics
- Intellectual Property
• Help students identify career development directions in the field of mechanical engineering technology
b. prerequisites or co-requisites
None.
c. indicate whether a required, elective, or selected elective (as per Table 5-1) course in the program
This is a required course.

6. Specific goals for the course
a. specific outcomes of instruction, ex. The student will be able to explain the significance of current research about a particular topic.
On completing this course, students will be able to:
6.1. Giải thích được 2 chuyên ngành hẹp trong lĩnh vực cơ khí (nêu tên, mục đích ngành nghề, nhu cầu xã hội)

6.2. Giải thích được các quy tắc về đạo đức nghề nghiệp của người kỹ sư: Với yêu cầu giải thích được 3 quy tắc bất kỳ về đạo đức nghề nghiệp của người kỹ sư.

6.3. Khả năng làm việc nhóm.

6.4. Khả năng tự tìm hiểu các cách tiếp cận để thực hiện đề tài (Dùng từ điển bách khoa trực tuyến, dùng phần mềm đồ họa, dùng các ngôn ngữ lập trình, dùng các tiêu chuẩn quốc tế trong thiết kế cơ khí, đọc các sách công nghệ xuất bản gần đây...)
